Let There Be Light! is a contest for the best Christmas/Holiday lighting displays. Participation is free.

Prizes will be awarded in three categories, residential, downtown business and neighborhood business.
Prizes are still being collected. We will announce new prizes on this page as they are made available.
Judging will occur November 27. Winners will be announced in the December 2nd edition of the Jimpelcute.
Jefferson is part of the Holiday Trail of Lights. But, in recent years Jefferson has displayed fewer and fewer lights. You can help reverse this trend and bring light to our winter nights! We can all enjoy an enormous display of glittering Christmas cheer.

Downtown Jefferson has lights on most buildings but only a handful work. Some building/business owners don’t turn on exterior lights that do work. Let’s light downtown.
We are working to get the old train trellis relighted. There is even hope that the “Welcome to Historic Jefferson” sign will be repaired and working. Sponsors of Let There Be LIGHT! are contributing to a fund to get this work done. This is the year to light Jefferson! You can help. And you can win prizes!
